Last colors of fall
Quick! Catch the last leaves of fall before they are covered in snow. There is still some amazing views to be had.
While Tahoe doesn’t get the solid waves of color that you find in New England, the stark contrast of our deep green conifers against rows of aspens makes for a beautiful sight (and not only that, we get to keep our green trees all year round). I found a beautiful sampling of this stunning contrast in Page Meadows yesterday. I also found shimmering puddles from the recent rain, the 65 year old oven once used by Basque sheepherders, and a wrought iron bench placed in memory of a fallen Tahoite 14 years ago.
